TSN Ranks Rangers No. 1

Little news happening these last couple days since the Rangers defeated the Carolina Hurricanes back on Friday. But some good “news” to report, as TSN.ca, Canada’s equivalent of ESPN if you will, has ranked the Rangers No. 1 in its weekly power rankings.

Winners of six in a row, the Blueshirts have allowed only nine goals against in those six games, while they’ve been led by the line of Marian Gaborik, Artem Anisimov and Derek Stepan

At 9-3-3, the Rangers should feel good about themselves, and its good that the league and the media are taking notice. They sit just two points behind the Pittsburgh Penguins– who were second in the rankings- for tops in the Eastern Conference.

Other locals see the Philadelphia Flyers at No.3, so the top three slots are all Atlantic Division foes, while the Devils and Islanders were No. 24 and 25, respectively .
