Wolski Out Four Weeks With Hernia

Sorry about no post-game story last night. I was watching the game out, and by the time I got home I went right to sleep. Today I had work for literally all day, and by now, it’s just pointless.

Quickly, though, Derek Stepan, Marian Gaborik and Artem Anisimov are becoming a force for the Rangers. How long that will last is anyone’s guess, but right now they’re rolling. Good for Martin Biron and picking up his third win and 27th career shutout.

Now onto the reason for this post and the injury at hand. President and GM Glen Sather announced today Wojtek Wolski will miss about a month with a sports hernia. Wolski today met with a specialist in Philadelphia for his groin injury, and will undergo surgery tomorrow.

Not sure who will be called up in Wolski’s absence. I suggested either Carl Hagelin or Ryan Bourque, but was told by a fellow Rangers blogger via Twitter that both need seasoning in the AHL. Obviously neither the blogger or me are consulted on these moves, so it is anyone’s guess.
