Roster for Preseason Game Against Devils

Feels like training camp started just a couple days ago, doesn’t it? That’s the beauty of the NHL: training camp starts and before you know it, there are games to be played. I’m not complaining.

Anyway, John Tortorella announced the roster for tomorrow night’s tilt with the New Jersey Devils up in Albany.

Forwards: Sean Avery, Brandon Dubinsky, Dale Weise, Andre Deveaux, John Mitchell, Erik Christensen, Artem Anisimov, J.T. Miller, Christian Thomas, Ryan Bourque, Shane McColgan and Carl Hagelin.

Defense: Michael Del Zotto, Dan Girardi, Brendan Bell, Steve Eminger, Tim Erixon and Dylan McIlrath.

Goaltenders: Henrik Lundqvist and Cam Talbot.

Pretty obvious selections as to who I’m excited to watch play with some NHLers, and they are Thomas, Bourque, Hagelin, Erixon and McIlrath. These are the top-five players with the greatest chance of making the big team out of camp, though McIlrath has the least chance.

Pretty surprised they’re throwing Lundqvist right into the mix rather than Biron, but as I always say, they know better than me.
