According to a Tweet from HockeyBreak, the Rangers and Phoenix Coyotes are in possible trade talks for center Erik Christensen.
Well, a trade between the two teams would not be shocking, as several deals have been done over the last few years, including players like Petr Prucha, Derek Morris, Nigel Dawes, Fredrik Sjostrom and more recently Wojtek Wolski for Michael Rozsival this past season.
Christensen is clearly the odd-man out down the middle, with the top-four slots all but sealed with Brad Richards, Artem Anisimov, Derek Stepan and Brian Boyle. Christensen is essentially useless in regulation and overtime, but still has value in the skills competition.
