According to several reports via Twitter, the Rangers have signed 2011 first-round pick J.T. Miller to an entry level contract. Miller, 18, had a verbal agreement to play at the University of North Dakota, but has since opted out, choose the Plymouth Whalers and the OHL over college.
The Palestine, Ohio-native played last season with the US Under-18 team, finishing with 11 goals and 26 assists in 46 games. His stock rose at the World Championships when he led all US-scorers with 13 points in the tournament.
