The New York Rangers announced MSG Network will be broadcasting four games from the annual Traverse City prospect tournament in mid-September. The tournament, which features eight NHL teams, will begin Sept. 10 and conclude Sept. 14.

Traverse City begins with a three-day round robin tournament. After the first day, the teams are seeded by their records. On the final day, the top two teams play in the Championship game.

Two huge thumbs up to the Rangers and MSG Network for broadcasting the games. This will give Rangers fans a chance to see the stars of tomorrow compete against the league’s top prospects. Sadly for American fans, getting a chance to see any prospects live after the pre-season or the injury call-up is very seldom achieved. Now, fans can see players like Ryan Bourque, Christian Thomas and Dylan McIlrath live.
